Avalon sunflower seeds (Avalon, NS 6046) are a hybrid for growing using traditional production system. It has resistance to 7+ races of broomrape. The originator is the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops NS Seme (Serbia).

The Avalon hybrid is recommended for the southern and eastern regions of the country with the broomrape spread and lack of moisture in the fields. The potential yield of Avalon sunflower seeds is 53 c/ha. The real yield of hybrids for the years of testing is from 24.4 c/ha to 40.2 c/ha. Seed oil content is 50-52%.
