Tor 7+ Sumo sunflower hybrid is a crop for Granstar cultivation technology with resistance up to 7 broomrape races. The origin of parental lines is the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops NS Seme (Novi Sad, Serbia).

Potential yield of Tor 7+ Sumo sunflower seeds is 5 t/ha. Oil content is high, 50-52%.

The hybrid has a short growing season of 90-95 days. Tor 7+ Sumo blooms before high heat. This allows the crop to set seeds prior to influence of severe air and soil drought, as it is known that elevated temperatures during flowering have a negative effect on seed set.

Recommended areas for growing Tor 7+ Sumo sunflower seeds are southern, southeastern regions with insufficient moisture. In other areas it can be grown in compliance with the technology and crop rotation. The hybrid is suitable for broomrape distribution areas.
