Ajax sunflower seeds (NS DFSP) are a high-yielding hybrid of classical cultivation technology. Its ultra-high yield potential is 6 tonnes per hectare. The originator of the Ajax hybrid is the NS Seme Institute of Agriculture and Vegetable Growing (Serbia).
Seed material of the Ajax hybrid is produced in three technological solutions: Premium, Optimum and Basis. Ajax Premium seeds are treated with three fungicides, a growth stimulator and a phytohormone base, and a complex microfertilizer. This treatment protects against most soil infections and is a guarantee of obtaining strong and healthy sunflower seedlings.
Advantages of the Ajax sunflower hybrid:
The Ajax sunflower hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and northern steppe without the spread of sunflower broomrape. The potential yield of Ajax sunflower seeds is 6 tonnes per hectare. The actual yield of hybrids during the years of testing ranged from 3.9 t/ha to 4.6 t/ha. The oil content of the seeds is 50-52%
