Tor 7+ Sumo sunflower hybrid is a crop for Granstar cultivation technology with resistance up to 7 broomrape races. The origin of the parental lines is the Institute of Field and Vegetable Production of NS Seme (Novi Sad, Serbia).

Potential seed yield of sunflower Tor 7+ Sumo is 5 tonnes/ha. Oil content is high, 50-52%. The hybrid has a short growing season – 90-95 days. Tor 7+ Sumo blooms before high heat.This allows the crop to set seeds prior to the influence of severe air and soil drought, as it is known that elevated temperatures during flowering have a negative effect on seed set.

Recommended regions for growing Tor 7+ Sumo sunflower seeds are southern, south-eastern regions with insufficient moisture. In other areas – can be grown with the observance of technology and crop rotation. The hybrid is suitable for broomrape distribution areas.
