The Arkona Sumo sunflower hybrid (Arkona, NS VLSP) is a high-yielding crop specially developed for Sumo cultivation technology (under Granstar).

It is one of the most productive hybrids with a yield potential of 6 t/ha.

The Arkona Sumo hybrid is resistant to weed control with sulfonylurea-based herbicides (in particular, Granstar). It can withstand treatment with 50 g/ha of Express (Granstar) herbicide to control dicotyledonous weeds in the seedbed.
The yield of Arkona Sumo is 60 c/ha. The average yield during trials in different regions of Ukraine ranged from 40 c/ha to 45.1 c/ha. The oil content in the seeds is 51-53%.
