Evrosem pays great attention to advancing agricultural science, which it implements through its specialized division, the Field of Knowledge. The expert team works in several areas with the primary goal of improving the efficiency of sunflower and corn cultivation.

Scientific and practical trials:

– Research of modern production technologies of sunflower herbicide protection – Classic, CLEARFIELD, SUMO.

– In-depth study of corn herbicide protection technologies.

– Study of optimal sowing terms and rates for field crops.

– Study of targeted-action products, including inoculants and hormone-based treatments.

– Research on innovative crop nutrition products.

R&D

– As part of our research and breeding work, we annually test over 200 sunflower and corn hybrids across five regions in Ukraine, within different agro-climatic conditions. Our task is to identify the most productive, stable and resilient hybrids.

– A separate important direction is the testing of genetic material for resistance to broomrape, as well as the collection of seed material of this aggressive parasite, within the framework of work in the Global Broomrape Research Consortium

– Every year, we test over 40 new products focused on increasing productivity and optimizing costs for sunflower and corn cultivation.

– We test new seed treatment technologies to fully unlock the crop potential.

Eurosem Breeding Hub

As part of our research and selection work, we test more than 400 sunflower and corn hybrids annually in five regions of Ukraine under various agroclimatic conditions.

Our goal is to create the most productive, stable, and resilient hybrids of the new generation.

Laboratory

– The company’s structure includes a modern seed laboratory

– Experienced laboratory specialists check the sowing indicators of the seeds at each stage of production

– Our environmental chamber allows us to test the effects of seed treatments on germination, growth energy, and disease resistance

– In addition, the environmental chamber enables testing the resistance of Sulfo- and IMI-hybrids to relevant herbicides, as well as testing plants for resistance to various broomrape races under laboratory conditions.
