Research is our priority
Scientific, laboratory, and field research are the foundation of our activities. Before offering a new hybrid to farmers, we test it in different regions of Ukraine.
Every year, at a demonstration site in the Dnipropetrovsk region, we study the resistance of our hybrids and those of other multinational companies to sunflower broomrape, one of the most dangerous parasites of this crop.
At the Polya Znan (Field of Knowledge) demonstration site (Poltava region), we study:
- Resistance to herbicides
- Optimal schemes for protection against pests, diseases, and weeds
- The impact of Eurostim fertilizers on crop yields
- The effectiveness of various seed treatment methods.
The results of many years of research have allowed us to create three technological solutions for sunflowers — Premium, Optimum, and Osnova — which differ in their treatment and 1,000-seed weight. Thanks to this, the seeds germinate uniformly and quickly, even in unfavorable conditions.
Breeding
Breeding work is carried out by a specialized department. Field plots are located in different regions, which allows us to create hybrids that are ideally adapted to Ukrainian conditions.
We also collaborate with the NS SEME Institute (Serbia), jointly studying resistance to broomrape and the adaptation of sunflower hybrids to our climatic zones.
