Successful sunflower cultivation depends on a combination of high-quality seeds, proper agricultural technology, and effective plant nutrition. One example of this approach was demonstrated by a farmer in the Zolotonosha district of the Cherkasy region, who chose the Grut sunflower hybrid from Eurosem.
Location and growing conditions
The Grut hybrid was sown on 24 April, after the previous crop of maize, using deep ploughing, which ensured optimal soil preparation and uniform root system development. The sowing density was 60,000 plants/ha, which allowed for uniform field coverage and efficient use of the area.
To feed the plants, 100 kg/ha of Duofert 38 fertiliser was applied, which provided the necessary level of macro- and microelements for the development and formation of a high-quality crop.
