On 5 March 2026, our team held an intensive training session for farmers in the Poltava region. With spring already in the air, we met to discuss practical matters and final preparations for the 2026 season, without getting bogged down in theory. Poltava region has always been a strategic region for Ukrainian agriculture, and this event confirmed once again that local farms are focused on achieving high results, regardless of any challenges.
Practice over theory: key training highlights
The main aim of the meeting was to provide farmers with specific tools for working in the field. During the seminar, we examined in detail the issues that most concern the region’s farmers today:
Individual hybrid selection: We analysed which sunflower and maize hybrids are best suited to the climatic conditions and soil types of the Poltava region.
Fertilisation schemes: We discussed effective fertiliser application methods that enable stable yields even under conditions of variable moisture levels.
Case studies: We paid particular attention to the results of farms that have been using Eurosem genetics on their fields for several years. The actual yield figures from neighbouring farms are the best proof of the effectiveness of the chosen technology.
More than just a presentation
