Advantages of sunflower seed treatment from Evrosem
Sunflower seed treatment has several advantages that can help increase potential yields.
Premium seed treatment provides a comprehensive approach to protecting and stimulating the early stages of sunflower plant growth, including insecticide, fungicide, and hormone treatments and the addition of Evrostim complex micronutrients.
- Insecticide protection.
The seeds are treated with Lumishur, a clothianidin-based product manufactured by Corteva. This insecticide provides effective protection against a range of soil and early stem pests in the early stages of crop development, reducing the risk of yield loss due to entomological stress.
- Fungicide complex for protection with three fungicides.
The technology uses a combination of three fungicides: metalaxyl-M, thiram and fludioxonil. This combination provides a broad spectrum of activity against major pathogens, including root rot, smut and mould infections, ensuring a high level of phytosanitary status in the early stages of vegetation.
- Fertiliser treatment.
The use of the complex fertiliser Evrostim Premium, which contains macro- and microelements in physiologically balanced proportions, promotes active absorption of nutrients by seedlings. This increases germination energy, stimulates root system development and ensures uniform emergence.
- Growth stimulation.
Treatment with Stimulate, which contains a balanced complex of phytohormones (auxin, cytokinin, gibberellin), activates cell division, stimulates the growth of vegetative mass and increases the resistance of seedlings to abiotic stresses.
- Technical parameters.
The weight of one bag of seeds treated with PREMIUM technology is 9 kg. For the Pegas hybrid, the minimum bag weight is 8.3 kg.
Optimum technological solution
The seed material of the Optimum technological solution is high-quality seed treated with a complex fertiliser and preparations for protection against diseases and pests. The treatment includes:
- an insecticide to provide initial protection against pests,
- a three-component fungicide complex (metalaxyl-M, thiram, fludioxonil) to protect against major disease pathogens,
- Evrostim Premium, a nutrient preparation containing macro- and microelements necessary for effective crop establishment.
Despite the lower weight of 1000 seeds, Optimum seeds retain the full set of genetic characteristics of the hybrid, ensuring high productivity and yield stability.
Bag weight: from 7.5 to 8.9 kg, depending on the hybrid (for the Pegas hybrid — up to 8.3 kg).
Technological solution Osnova
The seed material of the Osnova technological solution is optimised for use with precision seed drills. The seeds are treated with:
- two systemic fungicides that provide protection against a wide range of soil and seed infections,
- Evrostim Premium fertiliser, which stimulates the growth and development of seedlings thanks to its macro- and microelements.
Small-sized seeds have a reduced moisture requirement for germination, which is an advantage in conditions of limited moisture supply. At the same time, the genetic potential of the sunflower hybrid is fully preserved.
Bag weight: up to 7.5 kg.
Uniform emergence promotes simultaneous ripening of the crop, which optimises yield. Field trials confirm the effectiveness of Evrosem treatment for both strong emergence and high sunflower yields.
